I am not shouting "I am saved",
I am whispering "I was lost"
That is why I chose this way.

I do not speak of this with pride;
I am confessing that I stumble
And need someone to be my guide.

I am not trying to be strong;
I am professing that I am weak
And pray for strength to carry on.

I am not bragging of success;
I am admitting I have failed Christ in
The past and can not ever pay the debt.

I am not proclaiming to be perfect;
My flaws are too visible
But God believes I am worth it.
When I say . . . "I am a christian"
I still feel the sting of pain;
I have my shares of heartaches
Which is why I speak His name.

I do not wish to judge;
I have no authority,
I only know, I am LOVED!
