2Kings 3:15 - Music
2Kings 3:15 - 'Now bring me someone who can play the lyre'. And as the musician played, the hand of Yahweh came on him.

Let me share some wonderful words with you. "Music is a fair and glorious gift of God. I am strongly persuaded that after theology, there is no art which can be placed on the level with music. The devil flees before the sound of music almost as much as before the word of God." The exciting revelational truth from Martin Luther is just as true today as it was in his days as it was in biblical times.
Through the scriptures and through long personal experience, I have learned that annointed music is a mysterious but potent spiritual tool. It is a marvelous means of worship, a biblical aid to prophecy and a dynamic weapon of spiritual warfare. Yes, annointed music provides song of deliverance and mighty armaments of war if we understand its power and purpose and use it in faith.
Surely few would deny that music is also our most biblical and expressive means of corporate worship. As we sing in expectant trust, the results can be dynamic; God invoked by our united praise, faithfully manifests His presence (Psalm 22:3) But what I want to share with you is this. Exactly the same thing can happen in personal worship.
Sing to the glory of God when the enemy harasses you. Yes, all by yourself, just let it flow. Fill your mouth and your house with songs of praise and the declaration of Jesus' victory and authority. Even in a public place you can hum "A Mighty fortress"! Believe me, the devil knows the lyrics.
With all my heart, I encourage you to learn about music's amazing influence and experience the blessing and victory it can bring. Use contemporary christian music for your teeenagers and simple praise songs for your little ones. Just let it all ring! As you do, the joy and glory of God will permeate your home, your family and your own soul.
